Annie (she/they) is a Theatre Director based in London, originally from Reading.

Recent directing credits include Foal (Finborough Theatre), Educating Rita (Reading Rep Theatre) and Private View (Soho Theatre).

In 2026, Annie was shortlisted for the Arts Foundation Future Award for Theatre Directing.

In 2025, Annie directed The Maids by Jean Genet, translated by Martin Crimp and starring Anna Popplewell (Chronicles of Narnia). This production originated at Jermyn Street Theatre and transferred to Reading Rep Theatre.

In 2024, she won the Genesis Future Director’s Award for which she directed Girl In the Machine by Stef Smith at the Young Vic Theatre. This was supported by the Genesis Foundation.

From 2023 to 2024, Annie served as the Carne Deputy Director at Jermyn Street Theatre. In this role, she supported the productions of Infamous by April De Angelis starring Caroline Quentin, Charles Court Opera’s Odyssey, The Lonely Londoners by Roy Williams and Laughing Boy by Stephen Unwin.

Annie was the Associate Director of James Graham’s Best of Enemies in 2022 at the Noël Coward Theatre following her role as the Jerwood Assistant Director of the Young Vic production.

Annie studied Drama and Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham and proceeded to self train as a director, learning from notable directors like Jeremy Herrin, Paul Stacey, Katie Mitchell and many others.
